The best strategies to win as killers in Forsaken Roblox come down to three habits: hold pressure on whichever objective cluster is closest to completion, force every chase onto ground you chose before the match started, and spend your ability only when it converts into a down rather than a bit of chip damage. Most losses trace back to one mistake — chasing a single healthy survivor through a strong loop while the rest of the lobby finishes objectives behind you.

The numbers below are planning benchmarks, not patch-locked constants. Cooldowns, movement speeds and objective counts shift between balance passes, so verify current values in-game and treat the tables as decision rules rather than fixed data.

Pressure math: where you should be at each phase

Consistent killers treat the map as a set of overlapping zones and rotate between them on a timer instead of on instinct. Before the match, pick a three-point patrol triangle; during the match, only break it to finish a down you are already close to securing.

Match phase What it looks like Your priority Chase budget
Opening (first 60–90 seconds) Everyone healthy, objectives untouched Find the cluster where two or more objectives sit within roughly 60 studs of each other 25–35 seconds per chase, then break off
Mid game One down, objectives starting to complete Hold the intersection between the two most advanced objectives 20–30 seconds
Split map One or two objectives left, survivors spread wide Patrol a three-point rotation instead of a two-point one 15–20 seconds
Endgame, two survivors Exit open or nearly open Play for the visible survivor; ignore the hider until the other is dealt with 30 seconds, then reposition to the exit line
Last survivor standing No objective pressure left Cut off the exit path — do not mirror their movement step for step No budget; this is the one chase you finish

The chase budget column is the part most players ignore. If a chase runs past its budget, disengage, walk your rotation, and let the survivor drift back to an objective. You will almost always get a better engagement a few seconds later.

Picking a build for the lobby, not for comfort

Builds are situational. Read the lobby in the first thirty seconds — are survivors pre-running, grouping on objectives, or hiding and resetting? — then choose tools that attack the behaviour you actually see.

Problem in this lobby Build priority Avoid
Survivors loop cleanly and burn your clock Anti-loop and slowdown tools — anything that shortens a loop or punishes a vault Pure detection; you already know where they are
Survivors hide, reset and heal Information and tracking — anything that reveals a stationary or recently healed survivor Extra mobility; you are not losing chases
Objectives are popping fast Objective interruption and regression Chase-only perks with no map impact
You keep losing the final survivor Mobility plus exit control Detection — the remaining map is too small for it to matter
No read yet One mobility, one information, one regression tool Anything highly situational

Chase routes: make the map do the work

Route quality beats reaction speed. A killer who approaches from the right side of a loop wins chases they have no business winning on mechanics alone.

  • Never start a chase inside a strong loop. A loop with two escape options within about 15 studs of each other is a trap for you, not for them. Approach from the side that pushes the survivor toward open ground or the map edge.
  • Cut corners, not people. Aim your movement at the far post of a doorway or the inside edge of a wall rather than at the survivor’s model; you gain two or three studs on every turn.
  • Use the half-loop rule. If the survivor has already reached the safe side of a loop, back off roughly 10 studs and re-approach from the opposite side. Re-entering from the same angle just repeats the loss.
  • Herd toward dead zones. Every map has open areas with no loop within roughly 25 studs. Chases that end there end in downs.
  • Read the pre-run. A survivor who sprints off the moment they detect you is not escaping, they are relocating. Cut the path to the next objective cluster instead of following their trail.

Ability timing: spend it on the conversion, not the contact

Most killer abilities in this genre carry a cooldown long enough that one wasted cast costs a full engagement. Treat the ability as a finisher and as a punishment tool, not as an opener.

Moment in the chase Use the ability? Why
Survivor healthy, open ground, far ahead No You close distance but gain nothing; they simply keep running
Survivor is about to commit to a loop window Yes, slightly early You arrive at the window before their animation finishes
Survivor just burned their escape or dash tool Yes, immediately Their answer is on cooldown and cannot be repeated
Final 10–15 studs of the chase Yes Highest conversion rate of any moment in the match
Two or more survivors in one line Yes Multi-target value beats a single down

If your kit is a slow, zoning type rather than a mobility type, invert the logic entirely: place your tools around the objective cluster before the chase begins and let survivors walk into them. Chasing with a zoning kit is a losing plan no matter how clean your mechanics are.

Map awareness: memorise three things, not everything

You do not need a full mental map. In the first thirty seconds, lock in three facts per map: which objectives sit within about 60 studs of each other, where the open dead zones are, and which two routes lead to the exit. Those three facts cover almost every decision you will make afterwards.

  • Play with headphones. Footsteps, breathing and objective audio tell you more about survivor positions than most perks do.
  • Rotate on a triangle, not a straight line. A back-and-forth patrol covers the same ground twice; a triangle covers three objective zones.
  • When a survivor vanishes after a reset, sweep objective clusters in order of completion progress rather than sweeping at random.
  • Track the objective counter constantly. It tells you whether you can afford a long chase or need to sit on defence.

Counterplay: answers to the four situations that beat most killers

They bait your ability and dodge

Hold the cast. Force them to commit to a direction first — an ability used after they have chosen a path lands far more often than one used while they are still free to react.

They body-block for a downed teammate

If the game lets you damage the blocker, take the free hit; a body-block that costs them health is a trade in your favour. If it does not, path around the block rather than through it — the extra second rarely decides the outcome.

They spread out and rush objectives in parallel

Pick the objective with the most progress and hold it. Splitting your own attention to match theirs is exactly what they want; a killer who commits to one zone forces survivors to come to him.

One survivor hides while you chase another

Ignore the hider. With one survivor visible and one hidden, your win condition is the visible one — a lone hider cannot finish the map, and they will reveal themselves the moment they try.

Mistakes that cost winnable games

  • Chasing a healthy survivor past your time budget while objectives tick down behind you.
  • Opening every engagement with your ability, then having nothing left once the survivor reaches a loop.
  • Patrolling objectives you already defended instead of the ones closest to completion.
  • Mirroring a survivor’s movement instead of cutting off their exit route.
  • Building for the lobby you expected rather than the one you actually got.

FAQ

How do I stop losing chases at strong loops?

Stop entering them head-on. Back off about 10 studs, re-approach from the opposite side, and force the survivor into open ground where your speed matters more than their loop knowledge.

Should I stay near a downed survivor?

Only while an objective nearby is close to completion. Otherwise rotate to the objective cluster with the most progress and let the rescue come to you.

How many objectives should I pressure at once?

Two or three within roughly 60 studs of each other. Spread any wider and you spend the match walking instead of threatening.
